Childcare on Wednesdays
from 8.30am to 6.30pm - for ages 3/12
It's time to get adventurous! Children will develop a variety of tricks and skills with Cyrus Smith and his friends as they explore Mysterious Island... Through rich activities and fun experiences, this year's Wednesday schoolchildren will learn to look at the planet with new eyes, to better care for and protect it. Life on a desert island will hold no secrets for them!
Les Bons Enfants on Wednesdays is :
Wednesday daycare takes on a new form, with a combination of living time and activity time, all geared to the child's development. The day begins with the introduction of the children to the group, the formation of teams, a reminder of the rules of life and the distribution of services. The children are then immediately immersed in the imaginary world of the period. The activities that follow - handicrafts, lab experiments, singing, drawing, theater - enable the children, divided into small groups according to their age, to explore the theme in all its facets, leading them to discover the sometimes surprising interactions between the different arts and the chosen imaginary!
Every Wednesday, under the guidance of Bilal, our sports instructor, children can also take part in a sports activity as part of a cycle.
Meals are served with the help of the children, who are mobilized to tidy up and serve. Two services are organized, the first with the younger children, while the older ones play or sing. When it's the older children's turn to eat, the younger ones are settled in for a nap or quiet time. Once the older children have finished eating, they are divided between board games and the library. This is more than just a Wednesday babysitting service, as the children are fully involved in the process. This rest time is fundamental. It helps to make Les Bons Enfants a more complete structure than a traditional day-care center, since during Wednesdays at Les Bons Enfants, we strive to satisfy all the child's essential needs.
Thème de l'année 2019-2020
Another essential need for children is to be outdoors. That's why, weather permitting, the children have a morning gardening workshop. After naptime, only a snowstorm, a deluge or strong winds prevent us from at least taking a walk in the park. Most of the time, of course, we stay and play a big game. The kids are back for a snack.
After a snack, the children divide up into different areas: some play, others relax in the library area. During each period, children can also sign up for evening workshops: homework help, a manual workshop for the youngest or a creative workshop for the oldest.
Parents arrive from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and pick up their child after a chat with Catherine, our director.

Les Bons Enfants childcare takes its name from the title of a novel by the Comtesse de Ségur. The stories features children with a fertile and sometimes overflowing imagination. "It was when her sixteenth grandchildren arrived that she thought of writing. Sixteen little devils full of life, turbulence and joy, sixteen little guys and girls whose games, teasing and kindness were the best inspiration as for her writing. "Back cover of Les Bons Enfants, Bibliothèque Rose 1982.
