Les Bons Enfants nurseries
Educational Project
The educational project revolves around the teaching of Les Bons Enfants to support the development of the child in all its dimensions: emotional, physical and intellectual. The introduction to English, music, nature, but also essential foundations such as the development of motor skills or emotional security are the pillars of our approach.
Our modus operandi? Use proven tools to prepare children for school, to allow them to be happy and fulfilled in their schooling. This objective involves preparing them for life in community, but also taking their first steps with them towards the teachings that await them there.
The backbone of Les Bons Enfants relies on the values that we hold. Children discover the pleasure of sharing and putting themselves at the service of others, thus contributing to a peaceful atmosphere that allows them to gain confidence in themselves and in others. To do this, children participate in the community life contributing to the smooth running of the day, to the extent of what their age allows them to do.
Learning music improves a child's cognitive abilities, especially phonological awareness, which allows us to perceive, dissect and manipulate sound units. Language, but also mathematics, will be the first to benefit from it. It is moreover an opening towards the beautiful and the development of a sens that should be educated, which is particularly close to our hearts.
The handling of materials, decanting, plastic art and even cooking are the first steps towards science. It is about nurturing children's curiosity to explore, transform and understand its mechanisms. These manual expression workshops are also used for the benefit of an artistic awareness in the making, and of the fine motor skills, necessary for writing, of course.
The knowledge of English is now a prerequisite for successful education. Between 18 months and 3 years old, it's so easy! Hearing
every day
English spoken
by natives, will be deeply remembered by children. Moreover, immersion in
English, combined with learning French, sets particularly useful milestones for understanding the rules that articulate them.
Thanks to psychomotricity, we approach the beginnings of sports practice. The coordination of gestures, but also the connection between body and mind seems absolutely essential for children of this age. This involves dedicated times, but also taking this dimension into account at all times throughout the day.
The goal is to awaken the altruistic consciousness of children by relying on the planet. And we have chosen to use joy to bring them there: the joy of touching the earth, of planting seeds, of taking care of the plants that are born and of collecting their fruit. We are convinced that interacting with the earth will lead them to love and respect it, and it is a helping hand towards the future and towards the other.
Playing is inseparable from learning. Through
free or supervised game time, children think, find solutions, express themselves, move, open up to others and become aware of the universe around them. They naturally learn new concepts. They develop their self-confidence and their awareness of others through sharing and mutual aid.

Les Bons Enfants childcare takes its name from the title of a novel by the Comtesse de Ségur. The stories features children with a fertile and sometimes overflowing imagination. "It was when her sixteenth grandchildren arrived that she thought of writing. Sixteen little devils full of life, turbulence and joy, sixteen little guys and girls whose games, teasing and kindness were the best inspiration as for her writing. "Back cover of Les Bons Enfants, Bibliothèque Rose 1982.
